Week 4: Oct 2 - 6
Objectives
By the end of this week students will have:
- finished the work not completed in week 3
- practiced pronunciation of mispronounced words in recordings (weeks 2-3)
- Selected a REO video, and completed the exercises
- listened to recorded ads
- discussed the characteristics of a recorded ad
- recorded an ad and posted it to their wiki page
- commented on a classmate´s recorded ad in the wiki
Activities
Tuesday
1. From the following list of words, select those you think you don't know how to pronounce. Listen to the pronunciation. These words were selected from your recordings for the wiki.

2. Write a sentence with each of the words you selected and listened to, and record the sentences using the application below. Try to write about architecture or urban planning. Write your sentences in the text box, record your message and send it.
3. Listen to your recording and those of your classmates by clicking on this link:

4. Work on the activities you did not finish last week. Remember that you need to:
- write a message to 2 of your classmates pages in the wiki
- finish your display ad and post it to your wiki page.
5. You should have received a username and a password to access the Real English Online (REO) videos. Let's visit the site to learn what you can do there.
Note: You need Real Player to be able to play them|

6. Go to the forum Comments on REO in Moodle and write about your experience!
Thursday
1. Finish activity about REO videos
2. Discuss display ads:
Get together with a classmate in Yahoo Messenger to discuss the following: |
- What application did you use to create your ad? Why?
- Why did you decide to advertise your product?
- Explain the concept of your ad
Save the chat and upload it to the forum Display ads in Moodle |
3.Audio Commercials!

4. Write down what you liked and disliked about the commercials, and then share with the person next to you -use English of course :-) -
5. Share your thoughts with the rest of the class
Homework: Write down a commercial for a product. It can be the same product you used for your display ad. Then, post it to the forum Audio Commercials in Moodle. |
